Day 25
Merry Christmas – Your Musical Journey Continues
🎅 Merry Christmas!
We’ve made it to Day 25 — the final day of our advent calendar together. What a journey it’s been! 🌟
Twenty-five days ago, we started by reconnecting with your “why” — the reason you love music and want to improve. 💖 Today, on Christmas Day, I want to talk about where you go from here.
Because here’s the thing about these challenges — they’re wonderful while they’re happening, but the real test comes afterwards. ⏳
Will you continue? Or will January 2nd roll around, and you drift back to your old habits?
I don’t want that for you. 💪
You’ve built real momentum over these 25 days — you’ve tried new techniques, challenged yourself, and grown as a musician.
Let’s not let that momentum disappear. 🚀
So today, on Christmas Day, I want to give you one final gift — a framework to continue your musical journey beyond this advent calendar. 🎁
🎼 The Three Pillars of Sustained Musical Progress
Pillar 1: Community 👥
You can’t do this alone — or at least, not easily. When you’re part of a musical community, you have support, accountability, and shared joy. Sandy and Carla found confidence through community. Alison rediscovered her love of playing through connection. Progress happens when you’re not doing it alone.
Pillar 2: Structure 📆
You need a system — not “I’ll practice when I can,” but real structure: when you’ll practice, what you’ll practice, and how you’ll measure progress. The students who improve the most are those with practice diaries, goals, and reflection time.
Pillar 3: Expert Guidance 🎓
At some point, you need someone who can see what you can’t — to help you past invisible obstacles. That could be a teacher, course, or membership program, but it needs to be someone who knows the path ahead.
🌟 Today’s Task (Take your time — this is important)
Today, design your musical future. ✏️
Grab your practice diary and answer these honestly:
Looking Back: 🪞
- Of all 25 tips, which three made the biggest difference?
- What did you learn about yourself as a musician this December?
- What obstacle kept showing up in your practice?
Looking Forward: 🎯
4. What’s one specific piece you want to learn in January?
5. How will you maintain your practice routine?
6. What support do you need — a teacher, community, or accountability?
Taking Action: ⚡
7. Write three actions you’ll take in the first week of January to continue your progress.
Examples:
- “I’ll practice for 20 minutes before breakfast.”
- “I’ll record myself once a week.”
- “I’ll join a community of adult learners.”
💫 For Advanced Players
Set yourself a bigger goal for the new year. 🎵
Maybe it’s learning a challenging piece, performing publicly, or joining an ensemble.
Break it down — what will you do each month and week? 🗓️
Identify obstacles and create contingency plans.
Tell someone about your goal — accountability matters.
And schedule a mid-year review for June 30th to check your progress.
❤️ Here’s where I’ll be direct with you
I’ve given you 25 days of techniques and encouragement — but information alone doesn’t create change. 🧠
Action does.
You can read every practice tip in the world, but unless you implement them, nothing changes. I don’t want you to be in the same place next Christmas wondering why progress feels slow. 🌱
That’s why I created Learn Music Together — to provide all three pillars in one place: community, structure, and expert guidance. 💻
You’ve heard from Alison, who now performs regularly. Sandy and Carla, who played on public pianos. Kim, whose pain disappeared. Avril, Jonathan, and others — all transforming through support and structure.
They’re not more talented or luckier than you. 🌈
They just had the right guidance — and that’s available to you too.

🎄 My Christmas Wish for You
I hope you have a Christmas filled with joy, love, and of course — music. 🎶
Be proud of yourself for completing this advent calendar — you’ve shown consistency, curiosity, and courage.
Play something today, even for two minutes, and remember why you love music. 💕 And when January comes, keep going — because the world needs more music, and you have music to give.
Thank you for spending these 25 days with me. 🙏
It’s been a joy to share this with you, and I can’t wait to see where your musical journey leads.
Progress over perfection. Joy over judgment. Connection over criticism. 🌟
You’re a musician. Own it. Celebrate it. Share it.
Merry Christmas, my friend. 🎁
With love and gratitude,
Fiona
P.S. If you do one thing today, make it this: play something that brings you joy. That’s what Christmas is all about. 🎵
